This is easy to use and useful to keep in stock for mild feline constipation.

Cat takes it readily and it helps in keeping all the fur that he takes into his system pass through better. Fur balls are not very often brought up now....

I get it because Spike likes it and takes it without any fuss, as he seems ok now and I know he has problems with his tummy so am sure this helps him.

Work's and is incredibly easy to use. Have a 14 year old cat who is prone to constipation due to hairballs, age etc. This is so easy to use. Just put a small amount on your finger or on their food and it is immediately eaten. Results within a day or two and no nasty side effects. Wish I'd known about it before. Excellent service from Viovet too.

How old does the kitten have to be for me to give it and will it help the cat to poo
This product should only be used alongside veterinary advice in kittens as it is very abnormal for a kitten to need a laxative like this. I strongly advise discussing this further with your local vet.

Can this product be used long term?
If not, what else can be used long term for hairballs?
Thanks
Yes you can use this product at a dose of 1-2.5g three times per week in cats in the long term, whatever helps keep the stools at normal consistency and controls the hairballs.

Please would you let me know whether Laxapet is safe for kidnies? My 14 year old tortie is at Stage 2 but is not taking medication. Thank you.
None of the ingredients in Laxapet will directly affect kidneys but I recommend running any supplement/food/mediation past your vet first. In late stages of kidney disease it is important to minimise any dietary changes as much as possible.

How long does it take to work for cat's constipation?
This product should start noticeably softening your cat's stools within a day or two. If your cat is truly constipated and not producing any stools then I strongly advise seeing your vet as prescription medications may be required.

my dog does very waxy motions which she struggles to pass would this product help she is a 14 year old Chihuahua?
It is worth trying Laxapet. It is a safe, lubricating product which should make it easier for her to pass stools. If possible, you should also add some fibre to her diet. A little cooked veg added to her food would help. (Not starchy like potato, but green veg or carrots are suitable.)
